Nokia Asha 501 Review
We had earlier reported that thanks to a leaked photo, it was suggested
that the Nokia Asha 501 could be announced on 9 Mei 2013, and sure
enough Nokia has taken to their official blog to announce the device.
As expected, the Asha 501 is part of Nokia’s non-Windows Phone lineup
and like the previous Asha models and other Nokia models, the Asha 501
is available in a variety of bright colors and according to Nokia, the
phone will feature a new user interface in which Nokia has referred to
as “Fastlane”, which essentially lets the user swipe between screens to
access the different menus within the phone itself, or in the apps.
As for its hardware specs, well, we guess you can’t really expect a
powerhouse from the Asha lineup, but for those who are interested, the
Asha 501 will sport a 3” scratch resistant display, a 3.2MP rear-facing
camera, and a battery which Nokia claims will have a stand-by time of up
to 48 days, with 17 hours of promised talk time on 2G. If you’re
interested in seeing more of the Asha 501, check out the video above
whereby Nokia provides a hands-on video with the device
