Samsung’s Ultrawide Curved Display 49-inch Which Is Superwow!

Curved ultrawide monitors are having a bit of a moment these days in the desktop computer world, and the Samsung CHG90, at an eye-dropping 49-inches wide, might just be the wildest one yet.

The CHG90 is, to the best of my knowledge, the widest curved laptop monitor on the market. It is mind-bogglingly large, the span of the screen soaring out over the sides of a desk like a giant bird of prey. At this point, the object you’re describing resembles less a desktop monitor and more a truncated TV screen. 

It is essentially what you’d get if you superglued two 24-inch curved screens together, minus the part where they’re, you know, two separate screens. And at a resolution of 3840 X 1080 with a 32:9 aspect ratio, it does in fact have the pixel real estate of two traditional 1920 x 1080, 16:9 displays mashed together.
